Thorough and Complete Home Inspections I book 1 or 2 inspections a day so I can take the time I need to completely inspect the property. I perform a detailed inspection of the home from the roof top to the foundation making sure you know as much as possible about the home you're purchasing. 
Don't mistake me for one of these so-called San Diego home inspectors who spends an hour "inspecting" a 2000 square foot house - this is a recipe for disaster.  Many of these guys don't even go on the roof, in attics or crawl spaces!! 
Avoiding this inspector is usually pretty easy. He is the inspector who has the low end prices likely because he's brand new and/or he doesn't know how to thorougly inspect a property, leaving you to find everything he missed only after you've already moved in.

Martin, having just read your home inspection report, I was very impressed.  This is the most thorough inspection report I've seen in more than 20 years in San Diego.  Many of the points you make are the very same ones I make to my clients. Especially the part about anyone with 25 cents and a Wheaties box top can call themself a home inspector. 
As a General Contractor in San Diego County I have certainly seen some inadequate, unprofessional home inspection reports over the years.  It's been my observation that most buyers know they need a pre purchase inspection but their dilemma is how to locate a qualified home inspector that warrents their confidence.  Not that you need anymore referrals, but I'll certainly be happy to send them along based on what I've just read.
